Mechelen – dyle riverbanks

At Zandpoortvest, the Dyleriver flows above ground again after 40 years. The former car park of Thomas More College was converted into a green, open meeting place. We installed modern, black-painted flat steel handrails on the sloping banks.

On the existing Dyle pathway, which was built in 1903, we replaced the original wooden floorboards with metal floorboards treated with epoxy resin. A damaged section of ±22 metres of the footbridge was completely rebuild.
